An eternal and strong God

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Deuteronomy 33:27

An eternal and strong God
In today’s Bible passage, God is described in figurative language as the one who will support us on our journey of faith. We are addressed in a very personal way because our God does not act generally and indefinitely but meets each one of us according to our situation and condition.

“The eternal God is your refuge.” When we are struggling with a problem at work, a hardship in the family or a difficulty among God’s people, we can take refuge in God. With Him we can find inner peace and receive new strength for the way ahead.

As the one who created everything, God was already there before anything else existed. He is an eternal God who never changes and we can always rely on Him. What He was for David 3,000 years ago, He is also for us today: “For You have been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble” (Psalm 59:16).

“Underneath are the everlasting arms.” No matter how great the distresses in our lives may be, we never fall into the abyss. Underneath us are the mighty arms of our God to carry us through every difficulty and trial.

They are called “everlasting arms” because they never grow weary. That is why we can rely on God 100%. He will never disappoint our trust. In Isaiah 46:4, He promises: “I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”

A Statement Of Purpose To Live By

Always give yourselves fully.' 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

Next time you pass a McDonald's, think about this statement from the one of the founders: Ray Kroc. Press on! Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent....More
