God forgets nothing!

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Hebrews 6:10

God forgets nothing!
Today’s verse is a great encouragement for all who faithfully and lovingly serve other believers.

After all, there are many tasks that are hardly noticed and yet are so important for the people of God:

The room where believers gather needs to be cleaned, aired and unlocked in time.
Lonely Christians need to be visited so they can enjoy fellowship with other children of God.
Some believers find themselves in difficult situations where they need practical help.
A number of elderly brothers and sisters in the faith depend on being picked up for meetings.
Other Christians might need to be warned, in personal conversation, about their inappropriate behaviour.
Perhaps such acts of service are hardly noticed by many. But God sees us doing them out of love for believers. Perhaps we seldom receive thanks for them. But God forgets nothing that is done for the Lord and His own.

At the judgment seat of Christ, when our lives will be manifested before Him, He will richly reward every act of faithfulness in service. Then He will express His appreciation for every helping hand given. Nothing will be forgotten that we have done out of love for the people of God. Isn’t this an incentive to continue to fulfil our tasks faithfully and with perseverance?

Today’s reading: 2 Samuel 20:1-26 · Philemon 1-12

NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

There is a nature that is of the Earth and there is a nature that is of Heaven. Since the fall of man, the earthly nature of man has become corrupted and therefore is greatly under the influence of the kingdom of Satan. Characteristic features of this nature are: wickedness, moral perversion - sodomy and all sorts of...More
