We know that in nature we reap what we have...

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Galatians 6:7–8

We know that in nature we reap what we have sown. All living things are under the indissoluble law of sowing and reaping. Figs have never grown on thorns, nor grapes on thistles. And every farmer has always reaped exactly what he has sown.

This law of sowing and reaping is also valid in the moral sphere: our words and deeds can be compared to seeds, which sooner or later produce fruit in our lives. Thus, the wise King Solomon long ago declared: “He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow” (Proverbs 22:8). If we sow love, we will reap love; if we sow greed, we will reap paranoia and cold-heartedness; if we sow hatred and violence, we will reap both; if we make others happy, it will contribute to our own happiness.

Here the principle of sowing and reaping concerns both the kind and the amount of seed. For, “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Corinthians 9:6).

Thus, we always harm ourselves when we transgress the commandments of God and do not ask for His good will for our lives. We need not only think of alcohol abuse, drugs, or pornography, which can destroy a person’s spirit, health, families, and even his or her entire life. We are also talking about things such as lying, cheating, slander, or careerism, which we sow in our daily lives and which may one day bear evil fruit.

Only when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ and are enabled by Him to live according to God’s thoughts can we sow good things for God and reap everlasting life.

THE GREAT DELIVERER

God is great but He humbles Himself to the level of His children to deliver them. The one who will deliver you must be stronger than the enemy holding you captive. The reason He is able to deliver is because He is stronger than all your enemies put together. This is why in

NO FOOD FOR THE LAZY MAN

Laziness is not a Christian virtue in any way. Our Lord Jesus Christ made this clear by His lifestyle of hard work while here on earth. A lifestyle of laziness is outrightly rejected in Scriptures typified by today's Bible reading. It is amazing that some people are still expecting God to rain manna on earth! It does...More
