A few months later, a friend invited me to a...

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalm 2:12

A few months later, a friend invited me to a conference. It was about the relationship of Jews to Jesus. I didn’t attend, but in the invitation flyer there was a Bible verse from Psalm 2 that made me think. Unfortunately, my friend could not explain the verse to me.

I then opened the Old Testament in the translation of a Jewish rabbi and read the entire second Psalm, noticing that the verse in question was translated somewhat differently compared to the flyer. This made me wonder. At the end of the invitation to the conference, a free New Testament was offered. I gladly accepted this offer.

Six months later, an elderly gentleman came to my home, “Mr Gil Bernard? I have come to bring you the New Testament you asked for.” I let him in and, after a long, pleasant conversation, he asked if he could read to me. Slowly he read the parable of the prodigal son from Luke 15. I understood immediately and asked, “Is Jesus the Messiah of Israel?” He answered in the affirmative.

I was shocked and speechless. Before the man left me, he asked me to promise him that I would read the New Testament. I made that promise and I kept my word. When I read the Gospels again, I felt I was following in Jesus’ footsteps. I converted to Him, which fundamentally changed my life. Three years later, I left my previous music scene and decided to sing about my faith in Jesus. This decision was difficult, but I never regretted it. I received more than I expected: a full and happy life, despite its inevitable painful moments. God is faithful and has sustained me in joys and sorrows. Now I possess the sure hope of praising Him for all eternity.

LIFE IN ABUNDANCE 1

Under normal circumstances, no human being desires to be a nonentity. The various forces in the world however, are responsible for many people spending their entire life amounting to nothing and dwelling in the valley of not-well-to-do persons. The Almighty God Himself in making man did not intend for him to be a...More

A spiritual treasure had been entrusted to the apostle Paul that he wished to share with the Christians in Rome. It did not come from his own abilities or knowledge. What he wished to impart to them he had himself received...More
