Since you were precious in My sight...
Isaiah 43:4

Unique
You are unique to God. Because He created you, you are precious to Him. He loves you. His desire is that you might live in a happy relationship with Him. But there is a fundamental problem. Our sins separate us from God. This obstacle must be removed so that we can make personal contact with our Creator. He Himself took the first step.

God's love is unique. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Surely we can hardly believe it: God's love is so great that He sacrificed His only Son for us sinful human beings in order to build a bridge to Himself. Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we can come to God.

God's salvation is unique. He does not ask us to do good deeds. He only asks us to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as our personal Saviour. He paid the price with His own life so that our debt could be paid before God. When you confess your sins to God and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, your relationship with God is put right. The consequences of this are wonderful:

Your sins are forgiven.
You are a beloved child of God.
You can now bring all your worries to your God and Father.
You will one day be with the Lord Jesus in heaven.

Today's reading: Numbers 11:24-35 · Matthew 8:14-22

However, there was only one person, spiritually speaking, who was a true Nazarite, and that was our Lord Jesus. He shows us that it is not a negative thing to be separated from the world but rather a...More

Adam found an excuse:

Jeremiah 17:9

In a discussion on the above text with some young people, the question was asked: how are we to understand the word "deceitful" here? After some consideration they reached this conclusion: deceitful means that the heart finds an excuse for everything. This seems a very apt...More
