How perverted are our natural thoughts! ... There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. (Ecclesiastes 9:14-16) How perverted are our natural thoughts! If a man set in honor and dignity were to formulate a wise plan by which to deliver his city from a formidable attack by a great adversary, he would be highly acclaimed and should likely have a monument erected in his honor. But a poor man who shows such wisdom is forgotten! God has wisely ordained that His own beloved Son, He who is worthy of dignity infinitely higher than the highest of men, should come into this world as a poor Man. He cam e in marvelous humility and great kindness to a world so small in comparison to the universe He had created, and so weak in comparison to the great forces of satanic power which had completely surrounded men. This poor Man acted in wisdom wonderful beyond our thought, not only devising a plan by which to save the world, but sacrificing His own life to carry out this plan in perfection. His finished work will, eventually liberate this world from all danger, and by it, countless souls have already been eternally saved from a dreadful end. How many are there in the world today who really remember this poor wise Man? Sadly, by the great majority, He is forgotten as a dead man out of mind . In clear contrast let every believer gladly remember Him with a full heart and in worshipping adoration. L.M Grant |

As a matter of necessity, it is not good for someone to opt for negative living. The fact that Jesus Christ was destined to die for the sin of the whole world does not exonerate Judas Iscariot from the evil that led him to the idea of betraying the King of Glory....More |
