Praise the Lord

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150:6 NKJV

Praise the Lord
So ends the Book of Psalms, and therein is presented to us the result, as far as the earth is concerned, of the coming of the Lord into it. He is indeed the blessed Man of the first psalm, "who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but His delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law He meditates day and night" (Ps. 1:1-2). Every breath that He took was a "Hallelujah!"—a "Praise the Lord!" Every pulse of His devoted heart was for God; in His every word and action the Father was glorified. Every moral excellence shone in unmeasured perfection in Him.

His fruit shall appear in its season, His leaf shall never wither, and whatever He does shall prosper. Men thought His light was quenched forever when He was led to the cross, but He is coming again. He shall arise as the Sun of Righteousness, and then shall break that morning for which the saints of God have ever looked, a morning without clouds (2 Sam. 23:4). He will stamp His blessed character upon His kingdom; it will reflect His radiant glory. Then every groan and murmur and cry of anguish will be hushed, and the darkness will fly before the shining of His presence. The whole earth shall be full of the glory of the Lord, and as His every breath was a "Hallelujah!" when He was here, so everything that has breath will say, "Hallelujah!" then.

The rise and fall of kingdoms; the accumulation of serious questions; the clashing of conflicting interests which grow fiercer as the years roll on—these all prove the instability of things in this world. But all these things do not disturb the one who, with the eye of faith, sees Jesus! The Morning Star, the harbinger of day, shines in the heavens and fills our hearts with hope. Yes, "Hallelujah!" The Lord is coming. Yes indeed, "Praise the Lord!"

BE TRULY ROOTED

You can overcome the attacks of the devil if you can simply obey God's Word. Before taking on the devil, be sure of your salvation because the salvation of many today is questionable. Many are pretenders and have really never answered the altar call for salvation at any time. At the time they should be answering...More

YOUR FIRST LOVE

As a Christian, your heart ought to be aglow with genuine love for Christ, unless you are not genuinely saved as a result of having not truly repented from your sins even though you have confessed Jesus. At the new birth experience, the Holy Spirit regenerates our spirit and fills it with deep and pure love for...More

Imitation or Genuine?

"All the prophets were prophesying before them. Then Zedekiah said, 'This is what the LORD says' All the prophets were prophesying this as well." - 1 Kings 22:10-12 NASB

Zedekiah understood what it meant to be a prophet. He knew the vocabulary and how to deliver prophecies. In similar ways, others...More
