I Will Come Again

If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:3 NKJV

I Will Come Again
Yes, after our blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ accomplished what none of us could ever do, that is to settle the question of sin to the total satisfaction of God, He went to prepare us a place in the Father’s house. How? “With His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Heb. 9:12). But He not only went to prepare this place for us, but He also promised us to personally come back, receive us to Himself, and bring us to that very place He has eternally secured for us. His words are simple and clear: “That where I am, there you may be also.” Is it not exactly what the Lord repeated to the apostle Paul? “The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Th. 4:16–17).

But when will this blessed moment happen? Technically, there are no prophecies in the Bible that must be accomplished before the Lord comes to take us to Himself. There are the signs of the last days, but there are no signs for us. There are no precise indications, but we have the general indications concerning the purpose of God. If we look at the state of the Church in relation to its responsibility as a testimony (Rev. 3:14–22), and at this world and how things move faster and faster right in line with what is prophesied, we can only come to one conclusion: “For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry” (Heb. 10:37).

Let us not be discouraged by what is happening in this world, nor by the state of the Church, nor by things that might come our way, for “the Lord is at hand” (Phil. 4:5). Let us look up and go on faithfully. The Lord comes!

(2 Peter 3:18)

God in His grace has centered every blessing for us in Christ. Without Christ, we have nothing, nothing but our sins; with Christ we have all things, and therefore want nothing in addition to Christ. As...More

NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

There is a nature that is of the Earth and there is a nature that is of Heaven. Since the fall of man, the earthly nature of man has become corrupted and therefore is greatly under the influence of the kingdom of Satan. Characteristic features of this nature are: wickedness, moral perversion - sodomy and all sorts of...More
